When Can I Visit Hong Kong Again?

Hong Kong is such a good place to visit for a short getaway - shopping, historical sites, food, food, and food. However, the current political tense with protestors on the street basically every day has made Hong Kong the country to avoid. Wonder when can I visit Hong Kong again?

These are some of the memorable moments I had last year in Hong Kong as a tourist. I look forward to the recovery of this amazing country soon.

Fly to Hong Kong by Cathay Dragon

We booked the flight to Hong Kong through Cathay Pacific website but it was a Cathay Dragon that we boarded. The last time I fly with Cathay was three years ago and I think at that time, Cathay Dragon was known as Dragonair. It seems like they have rebranded Dragonair into Cathay Dragon and make it more identical to Cathay Pacific.

For a return flight from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong during the Easter Holidays weekend that only cost me RM708 net, it is more that what I can expect. The staffs are very friendly and the seats was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The entertainment system was good with some new movies and shows. Not bad at all for the meals too.

What is Plane Water?

We all make mistake; there is nothing wrong about it because nobody is perfect. However, we cannot give ourself excuses and accept mistakes. Some mistakes can be drastic and could trigger big problem in some settings. Therefore, we need to always remind ourself to minimise our mistake and to reduce the damage of our carelessness to the lowest; for your work or personal life.

As a student, you may think why your lecturers always ask you to check and check and check your work before submitting it. Well, this is to train you to be more careful and meticulous; and be responsible for your own work. The moment you graduated and started working with any employer, your carelessness may cause severe problems to the organisation performance (directly or indirectly).

Ethics in Consumer Marketing

Today while driving home from work, I heard a radio advertisement by P1 about their broadband offerings. What caught my attention was the scenario used by P1 to highlight their bandwidth and data allowed.

In the advertisement, there was a lady mentioning that she cannot watch a full episode of a Hong Kong drama because she ran our of data credits with her broadband provider. She sounded so frustrated while claiming that the download was incomplete. The advertisement tries to relate the scenario (problem) to the target audiences and attract their attention towards the offerings. The scenario will generate the tense and later motivate the target audience to seek for more information about P1 broadband packages.

However, there is this ethical issue that I want to 'choesay'. Why the lady need to download the Hong Kong drama? Does this mean she is trying to use the broadband for illegal download? Or is there any legal website that allows (free) download of drama? No doubt P1 tries to associate their offerings to the norm of Internet users in Malaysia (culture), but is it ethical to do so?

I really don't know the answer but at least it caught my attention today :)
