The Best Immune Response: Not Too Weak, Not Too Strong, But Just Right

This pandemic has taught me a very important lesson in life. Instead of trying to avoid it, why not be prepared to face it while we can! Yes, I had Covid-19 last month and now recovering from it. I just had symptoms like scratchy throat and nose block at night for a few days-can considered as mild symptoms.

However, I was having throat discomfort even until day 7 and was still feeling fatigued. I couldn't teach for long hours like before. Then, someone brought me a box of Wellous® Tigrox™ Imuglo, a botanical beverage of black elderberry, fucoidan, and mixed fruit juice. At first, I was kind of reluctant to try it because I thought I have to prepare it at home before consuming and I just don't like the hassle. Surprisingly, the Tigrox™ Imuglo is a ready-to-drink pre-mixed liquid packed in a sachet per serving - so convenient to bring around and consume, especially at the workplace. Also, the taste is not too sweet but tart-like and mineral-like flavor-kind of delicious and nutritious taste.

I started to take one sachet a day after meal for a week and the throat discomfort slowly goes off and I can feel more energetic throughout the day-no more fatigue like before. It seems the immunomodulation and anti-allergic functions from the Maitake Mushroom Mycelium extract and black elderberry can improve respiratory tract infection and enhances my immunity. Other benefits include improving resistance against allergies, supporting intestinal function, and also antioxidants.

I am glad that now, all the symptoms are cleared and I am back in action as usual. Even after recovering from Covid-19, I continue to practice social distancing, wearing a mask, and washing my hands regularly in order to protect myself and others from the virus. Nonetheless, these are just preventive measures to avoid catching the virus. I realize that we really need something that can defend against viruses, something that can "balance" my immune responses to fight disease, infections, and viruses! I will continue to take Wellous® Tigrox™ Imuglo that can it give me all the essential nutrients I need in a day with just one pocket-size sachet.

Moving forward, I think we all need to continue to live with viruses, bacteria, and parasites as the environment is getting polluted too. While we are being vaccinated and continue to follow the SOPs, it is more important to improve our health by protecting our immune system.

Haze Season?

For the past few years, haze has been a norm to many of us in Malaysia and Singapore. I don't remember anything like this 20 years ago but it is not getting more frequent and consistent. Every year starting from July/August until October (this year, news reported that it will last until November 2015), there will be the same issue that threatening our health, THE HAZE.
Maybe for some other countries, it is nothing serious (because their air pollution indexes are much more higher/worse than us), but it is not a good sign for everyone in this planet.

Do we need to live in the world of polluted air for years to come? What would be the threats to our health in long-term? Who is responsible? With the state of the art technology today, can't this be avoided? If the planet is sick, we all will be affected too...can anyone do something? Will this phenomena be classified as a new season for our country - Haze Season?

What say you?

Haze Never Left Kuala Lumpur

As we thought our air is getting better this morning, the haze has emerged again and showing its ability to cause uncomfort and breathing difficulty to many of us in Kuala Lumpur. We have to stay strong and healthy to combat haze; especially when exam is coming for my students. Be ready for the worse as many places are still reporting hotspot and burning in Malaysia. Take care people.

The Most Embarrassing Fair in 2013

When we heard about public exhibition or fair, we can imagine that there will be massive crowd, lots of booths, promoters, products, games, showcases and many exciting events. However, I find this fair is so special. Here is why:

The Malaysia Sports and Health Fair 2013 at Mid Valley Exhibition Hall 1 & 2, Kuala Lumpur. This fair started on 8th until 10th November 2013 and one of the special highlight of the fair is on the 9th, an autograph session with Dato' Lee Chong Wei, Malaysian top badminton player. I just wonder how our Dato' feel when he attend the autograph session. To all the few exhibitors, thumb up for showing the commitment and motivation to run the show, even with such situation (felt sorry for them).

Looks like there are very few companies or organisation in Malaysia that specialises in Sports and Health...even there are Malaysian who are interested with it, we don't have much options except for these few companies who participated.
