Be Happy with our JOB

A major part of our life is about work, it doesn't matter if you are at the top of the organisation hierarchy or right at the bottom, we spend most of our time at work; not forgetting the housewives at home who are working round the clock. Doing something that we like at work is very important. Just imagine if you are unhappy with what you are doing and it takes up most of your time in a day; a week, a month or years...
Do we have a choice? Well, the answer is yes and no. Everyone go through a different life where some can decide what they like to do and others don't. You may not agree with me and that's fine. What is more important for us is to embrace the work we are doing now. This job you have now may not be the only job that you are doing for your entire life and as long as you are holding that position now, you got to do your job!
So, happy or not with what we are doing now? - It is all depend on us; how we see ourselves and the job responsibilities, the interaction of our job with the surroundings and the impact of our contribution. Let us all do a "Good" job from now and admire it!
Have faith in what you are doing :)

Think Out of the Box?

So far, you must have at least heard of someone telling you to 'think out of the box'! I do agree that we need to find new ways of doing things better or in a unique way. Thinking out of the box indeed is a good way to achieve that. However, you can do so provided you have something in your box; or perhaps filled your own box first.

What is the point if you do not even have anything in the box, or couldn't think within a box to look at things from the fundamentals or basics. You can think big, do different things and look for your 'blue ocean'; but what are the foundations to get you started? Do you have a map or a compass before you sail out to look for the blue ocean? and of course, you need to know how to swim first before you go to explore the blue ocean...

Hence, if you cannot even work within the box and do simple things...going out of the box might be disasters....

3 Things We Should Not Do During Water Shortage Period

This month, households in Klang Valley will be facing a very tough challenge- water supply shortage. Despite of Syabas efforts to divide the affected areas into zones for water supply interruption (2 days off and on rotation system), it will not be sufficient if the households do not take steps to reduce the water consumption (saving water).

Setting priority of water consumption becomes critical. A few activities that I feel we can avoid during these dry period:

1. Car wash - it can be horrible and not look on you if your car is dirty, but that helps to save lots of water.

2. Washing blankets or carpets - lots of water are needed to wash these...maybe just hang on for another month.

Son, can you see that Klang Valley is facing water shortage problem? Please go educate the people to be more responsible in water consumption! If not, Earth will end up like our home....

3. Do not let children to play with water at home - this is the worst thing to happen, even when there is no water shortage problem, it should be allowed!!!

New Horse Year 2014

Today is a very special, the first day of a new Horse year. I would like to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year, with the best of health and wealth throughout the year.

With all the emerging forces around us, this year may be as challenging as in the past; and could be more turbulent that ever. We should stay focused, and know exactly what we want to do to achieve our goals.
